The Talimena National Scenic Byway is most popular during the fall season but during the winter this scenic drive turns into a winter wonderland. The scenic route is 54 miles long and winds you through the Ouachita National Forest in southeastern Oklahoma. Take a peek at the most scenic drive you can possibly take in Oklahoma this winter.

The scenic drives takes you through the Winding Stair Mountains and Rich Mountain in the Ouachita National Forest.
The leisurely drive (without stops) takes a little over an hour to complete.
The drive is between the city limits of Talihina, Oklahoma and Mena, Arkansas.
There are no gas stations along the route so make sure your car has a full tank of gas before you begin the drive.
Make sure to stop at the turnouts and enjoy the panoramic views.
