Davis is a small town in south-central Oklahoma that is surrounded by natural beauty. From waterfalls to lakes to rolling hills, the scenery is breathtaking. It's surrounded by the picturesque Arbuckle Mountains and scenic rolling hills.
Among the things to do in Davis, Oklahoma is spending time downtown. Downtown Davis is a charming place filled with shopping and dining, so be sure and check it out during your trip.
Start your weekend off by visiting Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies, known far and wide for its famous fried pies that have been stopping travelers for more than 100 years.
This beloved establishment serves sweet and savory fried pies and is nestled in the Arbuckle Mountains, so you not only get to enjoy out-of-this-world pastries, but also breathtaking views along the drive.
One of the most famous places to visit in Davis, OK is the majestic Turner Falls Park. It is home to the tallest waterfall in the state, and during the summer it's open for swimming.
Another fun activity to do in Turner Falls Park is exploring Collings Castle, an abandoned 1930s castle that is easily accessible by a short hike. It's open to the public and is a cool place to check out.
If you're ready to keep exploring, head to some of the hidden caves in the hills above the falls.
Located just outside the park is the Soaring Eagle's 777 Zipline. It features a two-seater, chair-type lift that is 717 feet up in the air and goes 727 feet out and back while viewing the 77-foot Turner Falls.
During your weekend visit, head over to Smokin' Joe's Rib Ranch and enjoy some of the best BBQ in the state. They are famous for their ribs and have won several BBQ awards over the years.
Another fun activity in Davis is a trip to Bedre Fine Chocolates. They are home to handcrafted, gourmet chocolates that are nationally recognized. They make the chocolate right there on-site in the factory, and when you tour the facility, you can watch them make the decadent chocolate through the glass windows.
