Let's face it, Oklahoma is a beautiful place, full of natural beauty. Its topography ranges from lush greenery to rugged terrain, and is one of the most diverse in the country. However, there is one naturally beautiful town that stands out above the rest that is found in the mountains of south-central Oklahoma. Take a look at this town that will enchant you in the best way possible.
Davis is a small town in south-central Oklahoma that is surrounded by natural beauty. From waterfalls to lakes to rolling hills, the scenery is breathtaking.
This little town is home to the state's largest waterfall - Turner Falls - which is located in Turner Falls Park.
The waterfall stands at 77 ft. tall and cascades over rock formations into a swimming hole below.
It's surrounded by the picturesque Arbuckle Mountains and scenic rolling hills. Every view from around town is extravagant.
There's so much to explore, you'll want to stay forever. Hiking, swimming and fishing are a few favorites visitors enjoy doing while in the area.
Every season is magical in Davis, but the fall is probably my favorite season when the fall colors are on display.
The water in Turner Falls Park is crystal clear and one of the best spots to go in the summer to cool down. There's creeks below and above the falls to explore.
You can also go horse back riding in Davis and explore the beauty first hand. You'll ride up to the top of the hills and see beautiful land for miles and miles away.
Plan a weekend away in this small town and enjoy the natural beauty of southern Oklahoma.
