If you're easily spooked by Oklahoma's long list of scary places, we found a few more areas you're going to want to avoid. Oklahoma has several known haunted roads and bridges that have spooked even the bravest of souls. Their stories range from paranormal sightings to unexplainable noises to strange lights. If you still choose to drive on these 6 haunted roads, don't say we didn't warn you.

Please drive on these roads with caution...

1. Highway 20, between Pryor and Tulsa

Legend exists of a phantom hitchhiker that exists on Highway 20 between Pryor and Tulsa. He is a young boy about 11-12 years old who says he plays basketball. Several people have reported stopping to pick-up the boy, but before they are able to drop him off at his destination, he vanishes from the car. Beware of any hitchhikers on this route on Highway 20, especially any young boys.

2. Old Route 66, between Fort Reno and Weatherford

Near Fort Reno, lies a stretch of Old Route 66 that is reportedly haunted. A ghostly vagabond has been reported to roam this highway, wearing a trench coat and a fedora hat. He is a little, elderly man who has been picked up by drivers multiple times. He is normally seen on rainy nights and usually ends up acting chaotic. He has also been known to jump out in the middle of the road in front of cars.

3. N. 289th E. Avenue, Catoosa

Located right near Timber Ridge Cemetery on N. 289th E. Ave (off Hwy 412) in Catoosa, the road is said to be haunted with a boy on his bicycle. Apparitions of a young boy riding his bicycle have been seen by multiple people. Many drivers have thought they hit the young boy, but when they get out and look, there is nothing there. Urban legends report that years ago, a young boy was hit and killed riding his bike along the road. If you pass the Timber Ridge Cemetery than you have gone too far on 289th E. Ave.

4. E. 50th Street (Spooklight Road), Ottawa County

A strange phenomenon has been occurring on this road for over a half-century. An unexplained source of light appears over the sky at different times and in different shapes. Scientists have been unable to explain these strange lights and many people believe this area to be haunted.

5. N. 2440 Rd. (Dead Women's Crossing), Custer County

A lady named Mrs. James is said to haunt this road. Many years ago Mrs. James and her baby were killed and their bodies were found near this road. Her restless spirit roams the streets and banks near Deer Creek on N. 2440 Rd., calling out for her baby daughter. Other stories claim that if you stand beneath the bridge crossing the creek and listen closely, you might hear the rattle of wagon wheels rolling around above you. The two were believed to be kidnapped in a wagon before they were killed. Strange lights have also been seen on this road.

6. E. Easton Pl., Tulsa

Near Admiral Twin Drive-In Theater at E. Easton Place in Tulsa, between the hours of 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., the spirit of a little boy has been seen running barefoot down this street. According to legend, sometimes you can hear him scream.
