We've featured lots of holiday light displays and activities over the past few weeks, but there's one place that you don't want to miss - Downtown in December - in Oklahoma City. Downtown Oklahoma City transforms into an enchanting holiday wonderland filled with festivities, beautifully-lit areas, winter activities, holiday cheer and more. Take a look at this family-friendly celebration that's sure to put a smile on everyone's face.
Downtown in December is free to visitors and is filled with activities to make your holiday magical. Visit anytime between now and January 28, 2018.
One activity you don't want to miss is the 30-minute water taxi ride on the canals in Bricktown. On designated evenings the water taxis are FREE of charge and feature a narrated, holiday-themed ride along the beautifully lit canals.
There's also outdoor ice skating at the Devon Ice Rink in the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Bring your own skates or rent a pair and enjoy an afternoon testing your skills on the ice.
Holiday shoppers will love the Pop-Up Shops at Midtown, featuring 45 Oklahoma-owned shops that are housed in adorable geodesic domes. You can also pick out your fresh Christmas tree at the tree farm on-site.
More adventure awaits on the largest man-made slope in the country! Go snow tubing down two different hills for an adventure unlike any other in Oklahoma.
And of course, no Christmas celebration is complete without a visit to see Santa.
Check out all the activities at the Myriad Gardens during this holiday season. Thousands of lights decorate the exterior and interior Crystal Bridge, and you can visit for FREE on select nights in December.
There's so much more to see and experience at Downtown in December. One area you don't want to miss is Automobile Alley - just north of Bricktown. The buildings are lined with gorgeous light displays and it's completely mesmerizing.
