Tis the season to be jolly, Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la!  One of the best towns to get you in the holiday spirit is Sulphur. This quaint and cozy town goes all out for Christmas with lights and decorations and you simply must visit this season. Not only is this town charming during the Christmas season, but so do many others. In fact, Cheapism.com named Sulphur the best Christmas town in Oklahoma in 2017. Honestly, it should have kept winning every year after that, but I digress.

Christmas in Sulphur is a month-long Christmas festival that runs from November 30th to December 31st. Festivities include an amazing Christmas light show with bright stars, sparkling trees, dazzling blue light towers, and more. Guests are also invited to view a nightly light show from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. through the end of December. For 2024, however, things are a little different, thanks to a tornado back in the spring. Sulphur is plucky and strong, though, and it will take more than a tornado to get them down, especially for the holidays.

The opening night of the festival is filled with extra magic. This year, the parade takes place on December 2nd at 6 p.m.; most of the downtown businesses decorate for the season, and the light displays throughout the season are magical. If you're looking for Christmas spirit, then don't miss a visit to this spirited town.

It's worth noting that the town is also home to the beautiful Artesian Hotel. They decorate from top to bottom in festive decor and you'll want to stop in and check it out.
