Let's be real here: North Dakota is, in general, easily one of the most beautiful states in the USA. It's filled to the brim with scenic views, breathtaking mountains, fascinating rivers and gorges, intriguing geology, and so much more. It's hard to narrow it down to just a few "top" most beautiful places, but there are certainly some places that tend to appear more than others in "most beautiful" North Dakota destinations listed around the web. Here are seven staggeringly beautiful scenic places in North Dakota you need to see during your lifetime:
1. Lake Sakakawea

2. Theodore Roosevelt National Park
This park is simply stunning from start to finish. The south unit of the park is the most popular with sightseers and tourists, and for good reason: the views are incredible. 3. Devil's Lake
Devil's Lake is an amazing place to experience year-round, and probably our favorite place to catch a good sunset. be it summer or winter or anything in between, this is one little slice of paradise you cannot go without. 4. Beaver Lake State Park

5. Pembina Gorge
Pembina Gorge is a beautiful place to visit all year, but there's just something about it when the fall colors are in full swing that makes it super magical. 6. Lake Metigoshe
Lake Metigoshe is nestled within the Turtle Mountains and is easily one of the calmest, clearest lakes in the entire state. This lake is a natural wonder you're sure to fall in love with from the moment you lay eyes on it.
7. Chase Lake
