The fascinating town, known as the "Magic City," of Minot, North Dakota is one of the most criminally overlooked cities. It has the history, attractions, and beautiful attributes that should put it at the top of people's favorite destinations.
It is North Dakota's fourth largest city and was founded in 1886 and got its nickname of the "Magic City" when it exploded in population growth back then. From then on, it has been shaped into an amazing place to live and visit.
The city's bustling downtown is full of unique locally-owned shops, restaurants, and spots to visit.
Restaurants like Charlie's Cafe and Magic City Hoagies serve some of the best home cooked meals and sandwiches in the entire state.
Many other businesses take pride in being a part of Minot's quirky and fun characteristics, like the fact you can find many large horse statues throughout the city painted in many different colors and patterns.
Not only does Minot have those attributes, but it also has gorgeous architecture in places like this church and a fascinating amount of history to explore through the multiple museums in town.
Minot is also home to attractions such as the Roosevelt Park Zoo and also the stunning Scandinavian Heritage Park, which includes an unusual Gol Stave Church, giant dala horse, and so much more.
