Do you ever find yourself bored and wishing that there was just some magical highway you could turn into an epic road trip with very little effort (but maximum levels of fun)? Well, worry not, and look no further - it just so happens that there's a highway that fits this description perfectly. It's an interstate in North Dakota, and it runs in a nearly perfect west-to-east line across the entire state: That's right - it's I-94. You might have known that I-94 is a thing that exists, but did you know that Interstate 94 in North Dakota is actually one heck of a scenic, educational, and all-around fun drive? It's true - here are just a few highlights you'll find along the way on this, one of the most scenic drives in North Dakota.

Well, okay, fine - we suppose you could say I-94 in North Dakota runs east-to-west, too, and you'd still technically be correct.

Either way, there are numerous stops and sights to see along the way that we highly recommend on this scenic drive across the state.

On the easternmost tip of the adventure is Fargo, which has the distinct honor of being the best foodie town in North Dakota.

Meandering west a little more will bring you to West Fargo and a little place known as Bonanzaville.

What is Bonanzaville, you ask? Bonanzaville is a fascinating collection of 400,000 artifacts in 43 buildings on 12 acres. It's an excellent way to learn about pioneer life in the Red River Valley in a fun and hands-on way. It's well worth a stop if you're doing the drive anyway.

You'll also pass right by the incredible (and much more fascinating than it sounds like it should be) National Buffalo Museum.

Learn about the enormous herds of bison that used to roam these lands, and check out the world's largest buffalo monument. His name is Dakota Thunder, and he has a story to tell. While you're here, you can check out a real, live buffalo herd - this is a fun must-do stop for animal lovers.

Should you continue to wander west, you'll eventually come upon a very special stretch of the highway known as the Enchanted Highway.

Artists and creatives - and everyone in between - will truly love this stunning and meaningful series of art installations in North Dakota, all of which take the form of gigantic metal statues and figures. Pictured above is "Geese in Flight." You'll find the Enchanted Highway between Gladstone and Regent, and we promise you can't miss it even if you tried.

Another stop you'll reach is the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Often referred to as the most beautiful place in North Dakota, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a can't-miss for nature lovers and fans of the great outdoors. If you're going to make only one stop on the entire I-94 journey, you should make it this one.

Of course, these aren't all the places you'll find along the way - just a select few.

Other wonderful stops you can make include the Bully Pulpit Golf Course, the Cowboy Hall of Fame, Chateau de Mores, the Maah Daah Hey Trail, and more.
