When you're seeking a perfect destination for your next foodie road trip, gas up the car and head to the Piedmont of North Carolina to the tiny community of Snow Camp. Known as one of the first Quaker settlements in North Carolina, Snow Camp was the site of the Cane Creek Friends Meeting that began here long before the Revolutionary War.
Considered some of the best food in all of Alamance County, the menu at Yesterday's Grill is filled with homemade goodness.
Since Snow Camp is primarily a rural area, the wide open spaces are refreshing. Across the street from the restaurant is the Cane Creek Friends Church and cemetery. Otherwise, you won't find much development as you make your way to Yesterday's.
Pop inside the restaurant and find a warm and inviting, albeit small, space. Arrive during a rush and you may have to wait for a table.
But trust us: the wait is worth it! The food is delicious and the servings are generous, so bring a hearty appetite.
You'll find everything on the menu from home cooked meat pie to fried tenderloin chops, hamburgers, hot dogs, and more.
There's something on this menu for everyone. But one thing to know ahead of time: they don't accept cards, so bring cash.
When seeking a unique spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, head to the tiny, unique community of Snow Camp to dine at Yesterday's Grill.
It's open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (closed from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and all day on Saturday and Sunday).
Have you had a scrumptious meal from Yesterday's Grill? We'd love to hear about what you ordered! Have another favorite restaurant in North Carolina you'd love to see us write about? Let us know in the comments!
