When it comes to shore towns, we all have our preferences. Each is a coastal gem but Cape May, Asbury Park and Ocean City seem to be bringing in the tourists. Point Pleasant Beach is worthy of drawing in international crowds, too.
The boardwalk is one of the best in the world.
Jenkinson's Boardwalk has been a family tradition for over 90 years. There are countless rides, games and amusements - plus, great boardwalk eats. You'll find a mix of rides for kids and adults ranging from carousels to thrill coasters. There are also bumper cars, batting cages, mini-golf, games of chance and sluice pit mining. Amusements are open seasonally but the arcades are open year-round. For your dining needs, there is a bar and grill, Pavilion Restaurant, the sweet shop, Inlet Bar & Restaurant, Little Mac's and Joey Tomatoes.
The aquarium is a blast and offers countless events.
See all sorts of sea life, enjoy live feeds and visit for unique events like behind the scenes tours and Junior Keeper programs. They even offer birthday parties. The aquarium is another year-round attraction.
The seafood is incredible!
Pictured is the view from The Shrimp Box, with its seasonal outdoor patio. The seafood here is fresh and flavorful and any visit is guaranteed to be memorable. Try to snag a seat at sunset for scenes like this. If you're not a seafood fan, they offer American favorites like burgers, mozz sticks and more. Another wonderful option is Shore Fresh Seafood Market & Restaurant. Open all year, they also offer outdoor seating and options for food lovers of all kinds. Catering and take out are available.
