Located in Morris County, New Jersey, Dover is a small town covering only an area of 2.78 square miles.
But what Dover might not have in size, it makes up for in character. This small town has around 18,000 people within town lines, each with a uniquely diverse background, creating a melting pot within The Garden State.
The history behind this friendly town is unique too, dating back to the early 1700s when Dover was settled, and eventually became a bustling industrial town. The focus of Dover was manufacturing, iron mining, and milling.
Today, when you visit the Downtown Dover area, you’ll see many of these historic buildings still standing. Although they’ve been repurposed and taken a more modern spin, the history and architecture still remain.
