Union City is often referred to as the Havana on the Hudson.
Once known for its vaudeville scene and thriving embroidery industry, waves of Cuban immigrants arrived in the 1940s in search of jobs.
The town is now home to the second largest Cuban population in the United States, just after Miami.
Thousands flock here each year to see the nation's longest-running passion play and the annual Cuban Day Parade of New Jersey.
Foodies also flock here for the authentic Cuban cuisine.
