As Thanksgiving approaches and Christmas grows near, we've got our sights set on all the fun things that happen around the state during this time of year. From special train rides to finding that perfect tree, the season is full of wonder and delight. One of the best ways to experience this in New Hampshire is by taking part in one of the most celebratory Christmas events in New England. It's been going on for nearly 30 years and, by the looks of it, it'll be going for at least another 30!
The town of Jackson might just be the best place to be this Christmas season.
Together with the towns of Intervale, Glen, Bartlett, and Hart's Location, one of the most festive holiday events takes place right here.
It brings the communities together for an entire month of festivities.
The "Traditionally Yours" celebration begins this year on Friday, November 23rd and features local businesses offering open houses, holiday drink tastings, and storytelling.
The very next day, on Saturday, November 24th, Santa officially comes to town on his horse drawn sleigh! Beginning at 4:30 p.m., he'll be at the Jackson Village gazebo to meet everyone and grant a few Christmas wishes.
This special event is one of the highlights of the season and truly gets the town ready for the holiday!
On Sunday, November 25th, the annual tree lighting ceremony takes place, which you won't want to miss.
After the tree is adorned in holiday cheer, everyone is invited to come back to the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa for a special open house. You can expect lots of warmth and community togetherness here. Oh, and probably some fireplace gathering!
The first 20 people will even get a fabulous Christmas hat! Hat is not pictured. This would be a weird looking hat.
And, this is just the beginning. The fun lasts for the next four weeks, including craft fairs, wine and drink tastings, cookie decorating, the famous Jingle Bell Chocolate Tours, and some fun breakfast buffets.
