Founded in 1851, Genoa is Nevada's oldest town.
This little town is home to about 1,000 people.
Its Main Street is quaint and charming, and there's plenty to see and do here.
Visit the Genoa Courthouse Museum.
Located at 2304 Main Street, the courthouse was originally built in 1865, then rebuilt in 1910 after a fire destroyed it, and much of the town. The museum features many historic displays and the renovated jail. It's open through October from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Stroll along Genoa's streets to enjoy the rich, vibrant colors of fall.
This little town is so peaceful and quiet, especially during shoulder season when tourists are much less plentiful.
Hop up on a bar stool at Genoa Bar and enjoy a cold drink.

Visit River Fork Ranch
River Fork Ranch is an 800-acre preserve that offers hiking, wildlife viewing and photography. Take a hike on the River Fork Ranch Trail. The preserve is open 365 days a year, from dawn to dusk. 381 Genoa Lane.
Visit Mormon Station State Historic Park
Mormon Station was the first white settlement in Nevada. This replica of the original trading fort includes a museum (entry fee $1), a park, stockade and wagon shed. Learn more about Nevada's history at this charming little state park. 225 Main Street.
Play a round of golf at Genoa Lakes Golf Club.

Enjoy some dinner at The Pink House
The Pink House was built in 1855 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It offers a great selection of cheeses and charcuterie, along with fabulous desserts and delicious comfort food. Open Tuesday through Saturday fro 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Monday. 193 Genoa Lane.
