2. Gold Rush Scenic Byway (Highway 385)
Making its way from Chadron in the north to Sidney in the south, this longer route passes through some of western Nebraska's loveliest landscapes, including Chadron State Park. While you're at it, make sure to explore the county!
3. Heritage Highway (Highway 136)
This incredibly scenic drive cuts a path through south-central to southeast Nebraska. Starting in Edison in the west, this route travels through some amazing small towns and country scenery before it ends in Brownville on the banks of the Missouri River.
4. US Route 83
Often called one of Nebraska's most scenic drives, this route will take you all the way from the Kansas border to the South Dakota border. You'll pass through incomparable Sandhills scenery and the beautiful Valentine National Wildlife Refuge.

5. Lewis and Clark Scenic Byway
Stretching out from just north of Omaha up to South Sioux City, this trail parallels the Missouri River to show you some of Nebraska's most spectacular fall foliage. Follow in the footsteps of famous explorers and see some impressive farmland, bluffs, and historic sites along the way.
