Libby is located in Lincoln County in the northwest corner of the state. About 2,600 people call it home.
It's an area that's sometimes overlooked by the rest of Montana, so it doesn't get as crowded as our more tourist-friendly areas.
Libby is a pretty quiet place, and that's exactly how the locals like it.
You'll find all the amenities you need here - great restaurants, shops, museums and parks - and not much else.

The Libby dam is a must-see when you're in the area.
Stop by the Cabinet Mountain Brewing Co. on Mineral Avenue for some good food, great beer and (depending on the day) live music.
Just because you're getting away from it all doesn't mean you can't be a little social.
Enjoy a short, pleasant hike to Kootenai Falls, one of the most stunning natural wonders in the area.
If you can brave it, a walk over the swinging bridge to Kootenai Falls is quite the adventure.
If you make it to the Libby Cafe, make sure to request the huckleberry flapjacks.

Libby is definitely a nice, peaceful place to visit for any Montanan who needs a change of pace. And if you're looking to get away from it all permanently, try moving to one of these towns.
