The C-shaped route runs through Lee and Prentiss Counties.
It is often described as a path through history, since it blends the stories of Native Americans, African Americans, and the Civil War.
Civil War battlefields, the home site of Chickasaw Chief Tishomingo, several tribal sites, and historic cemeteries are just a few of the points of interest found along the byway.
Mississippi’s Final Stands Interpretive Center marks the beginning of the route. A great visit for all ages, it houses artifacts derived from Brice’s Crossroads Battlefield.
