Kamp Dels is a huge family campground in Waterville, Minnesota. It's around 70 miles south of the Twin Cities, making it a great destination for those who want to get out of town without traveling too far.
The campground is so big that it's almost like a small town! Just look at this map, and you'll see just how large this place is. There's so much to do and see that you'd be hard-pressed to do it all in one weekend.
First and foremost, you'll have to figure out where you want to stay. Luckily, Kamp Dels has many campgrounds available for both tents and campers. Each site comes with a fire ring and a picnic table. Full hookups are available for campers on many sites.
If you'd rather not haul your own lodging, Kamp Dels has you covered! There are seven cabins of various sizes available. Chances are, there is at least one that will accommodate your needs. And given their location right on the banks of Lake Sakatah, you'll absolutely love your stay in your Kamp Dels cabin.
Speaking of Lake Sakatah, this beautiful body of water provides a lot of recreation at Kamp Dels. You can canoe, paddleboat, swim, or fish in its waters. Kids and adults alike will love all that Lake Sakatah has to offer.
One of the biggest draws of Kamp Dels is the waterpark. It's enormous and includes diving boards, waterslides, a climbing wall, and more. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kamp Dels is following state guidelines regarding if and when the waterpark will be able to open for the 2020 season.
There are many other activities as well, including an animal area where visitors can meet many unique birds, farm animals, and more.
There are also playgrounds available for kids to run, jump, and slide.
