Minneapolis is full of adventure. Every neighborhood you visit has something to do and something to see. It can be incredibly overwhelming to decide how you'd like to spend your day in the city. Luckily for you, we've come up with the perfect itinerary! Here are ten ways to have the most Minneapolis day ever:
1. Grab an early morning breakfast at Al's Breakfast
This tiny hole in the wall of a diner in Dinkytown is the most iconic place to get breakfast in Minneapolis. The diner features a single counter with stools facing the impossibly tiny kitchen, where you can watch your breakfast be cooked the right way. The place is so popular, you'll want to avoid the long line and bring cash since this diner doesn't take credit cards. Al's Breakfast, 413 14th Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.
2. Meander through the "mall" on University of Minnesota campus to reach the Wesiman Museum
The "mall" on the campus of maroon and gold, is a stately area of old oak trees and studious millennials. On one side of the mall, you'll find Coffman Memorial Union, and on the other, Northrop Auditorium. From here you can either check out the free Weisman Art Museum, or continue your post-breakfast walk through campus.
3. Take a stroll down the Stone Arch Bridge
The Stone Arch Bridge gives you the perfect background of cityscape to take photos. It's a high traffic area and any Minneapolitan will tell you it's a must location to visit.
4. Tour the Walker Art Center
... and if you're still energized, feel free to take a peek at the Sculpture Garden. The Spoonbridge and Cherry are Minneapolis' sculptural claim to fame. The Walker Art Center, 725 Vineland Pl, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
