Built in the 1760s, the Bidwell House Museum is a former minister’s house filled with antiques and surrounded by 192 acres of gorgeous forest and fields. It’s the perfect blend of art and history. Guests will feel as if they’ve stepped back in time as they wander through a home packed with colonial artifacts and learn about life in the Berkshires as it was centuries ago.
Before you leave this little town, be sure to stop by the Monterey General Store.
The Monterey General Store has been providing the residents of this small town with provisions and treats since the 1790s. It sells a delicious selection of fresh groceries along with piping-hot coffee, pastries, gifts, and handmade personal care items. Though it closed its doors in February, the general store will be reopening under new management in the near future so don’t forget to drop by.
