Who doesn't love a good zoo? Although Maryland is mostly known for its zoo in Baltimore, there are a few other zoos in the Old Line State that are worth checking out. One of those is Salisbury Zoo, where admission is absolutely free! Read on for the details and bring the family to this animal haven hiding in the eastern shore.
Salisbury Zoo is located at 755 S Park Drive in Salisbury, Maryland.
This local zoo is absolutely free to enter, although donations are encouraged.
There are hundreds of birds, mammals, and reptiles here that are just waiting to say hello.
Come see a fluffy North American bison up close...
...and marvel at the hot pink color of the resident flamingos.
The cute and cuddly sloths are always a favorite sight...
...as are the curious prairie dogs, which always seem to be up to something.

*** Due to the current pandemic, the zoo is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Hours are 10am-12pm, then CLOSED FOR CLEANING from 12pm-1:30pm, then back open until 3:30pm.
