There's still time to explore Maryland's twinkliest towns this holiday season. One of our favorites is the following spot, full of festive attractions and sparkling decor throughout the area. Head to the National Harbor and prepare for a day (or weekend) of holly jolly Christmas cheer.
Maryland's National Harbor is located along the Potomac River, nestled next to Virginia.
This spot is great for visiting year-round, for shopping, eating, and taking in the water views.
Christmastime, however, is when the harbor area truly comes to life.
A massive, colorful Christmas tree is erected in the center of it all, and there's even a fireworks show to celebrate the festivities.
Peruse the area, where twinkling trees lead you along boutiques and award-winning eateries...
...and consider taking a ride on the festive Capital Wheel. From the top, you'll even get a view of Washington DC!
While visiting the National Harbor, Gaylord National Resort is a must-see. Shop even more at the atrium attractions...
...view the massive floating tree, complete with a light show...
...and visit the ICE! attraction. This year's theme is Charlie Brown Christmas, and don't forget to zoom down the ice slides!
Ice skating, visits with Santa, and more await. National Harbor is one area that belongs on your holiday to-do list.
