One of the best things about living in the Pine Tree State is all the beautiful wildlife in Maine. Most of us are nature and animal lovers and adore places that allow us to interact with animals in Maine. Petting zoos, ranches, farms, you name it! There’s a new, wonderful farm with animal interactions called Ingendahl Acres in Wells, which is on its way to becoming a favorite for animal lovers in Maine.
Ingendahl Acres is a gorgeous farm that just opened for farm visits and events in May of 2024. Already, the Facebook reviews are glowing with praise about the experiences people have had here.
This farm is a work of passion by Eli and Anna Ingendahl who have both had a lifelong love of farms and animals. This friendly and sweet couple has put together a truly delightful farm and the love they have for the work they do really shows.
Interacting with animals is one of the most rewarding experiences and is so therapeutic as well. It’s a good thing there are so many animals to meet here!
There are so many friendly and beautiful animals here, including alpacas, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, cows, geese, and more. You could easily spend a full day getting to know them all.
Say it with me, “Awwwww!” These adorable animals will melt your heart and you’ll wish you could bring one home. Actually, you can. There are a few sheep, lambs, and doves available for sale.
Admission to this lovely farm is free and by appointment only Fridays through Sundays from May to October. It’s an experience that should not be missed.
Don’t forget to bring home some quality items from the shop. There are stickers, calendars, farm-fresh eggs, skeins of soft alpaca yarn, and knitted articles of clothing you’ll love. What a wonderful day trip this would make.
