With so many delicious dining options within the Louisville city limits, it's easy to forget that our city is also close to several small towns that are filled with wonderful restaurants. One such town, just northeast of downtown, has so many scrumdiddilyumptious choices that you'll forget it's a small town. LaGrange, Kentucky is known as a charming train town, but the dining scene in this city should definitely not be ignored!
Located just 25 minutes from Louisville, LaGrange is a historic town that still has a freight train running right down Main Street. While it's well known for this unique feature, this little town is also full of delicious spots to eat.
First up, located right on Main Street, One Nineteen West Main serves classic southern favorites with a unique twist. With menu items like a Pimento Cheese & Country Ham Quesadilla, the Choo Choo Choo Triple Decker, and the Kentucky "Haute" Brown, you're sure to find a favorite at this charming restaurant.
Another spot with a fun atmosphere is Trophy's Sports Bar on Market Street.
Don't let the "Sports Bar" part of its name fool you, this restaurant is beautiful inside and serves some of the best food in LaGrange. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere, a mouthwatering burger, and watch your favorite sport while relaxing at Trophy's.
A small town has to have a good deli and in LaGrange, it's Red Pepper.

Locally owned and named after three bulldogs, Bully Barbecue is one of the best barbecue joints around Louisville.
Everything on the menu, from the barbecue to the fried chicken, is the real deal and will satisfy all of your comfort food needs.
