I love tiny little Louisiana towns. Sure, big cities have all the glitz and glam, but small towns are truly where you’ll find the heartbeat of the state. From tiny fishing towns like Venice to Cajun-centric towns like Ville Platte, you’ll learn a lot about life in Louisiana after spending a day or two in a small town. If you want to kick back and enjoy the simple life for a few days, then you should put Lake Arthur, Louisiana at the top of your bucket list. Let’s check it out:
Lake Arthur, Louisiana is a tiny little town in Jefferson Davis Parish that’s home to fewer than 3,000 folks.
One of the town’s main attractions is the lake it shares a name with.
From fishing to boating and swimming, Lake Arthur is a favorite pastime for locals looking to cool down on a hot summer day.
The Lake Arthur Park and Boardwalk is the perfect spot to set up camp for the day and spend a day on the shores, and the nearby Regatta Seafood and Steakhouse is one of the best restaurants in town.
Located directly over the lake, visitors to this restaurant can arrive by car, boat, or even seaplane if that’s your thing.
For lodging, there is an RV park located on the south side of the lake.
Myers landing RV Park offers several campsites, RV slots, and cabins to choose from, with plenty of privacy and lovely waterfront views.
But if you really want to experience life on the lake, this houseboat is the way to go.
This three-bedroom, one bathroom sailboat can sleep six people and is moored on Lake Arthur and is one of the most unique places to stay in Louisiana. Of course, if you’d rather keep your sleeping to dry land, there’s always this Vrbo in Lake Arthur overlooking the water!
