In the center of the city is this unique street that allows people to party all night and all day. A long street in the French Quarter allows for visitors to explore all kinds of different restaurants, bars, and clubs.

Like it or not, this devastating event is still one of the first things people think of when they think about New Orleans.

6) The Laissez-Faire Attitude

Known as "the Big Easy", the way people in New Orleans relax and unwind is a huge feature of our culture and one of the things we are most known for.

7) St. Charles Streetcar

You will love a ride down the most popular avenue in New Orleans. It is lined in trees and beautiful mansions and homes, and of course the awesome people you’ll meet along the way.

8) Spices

New Orleans is home to some of the greatest spices in the world. Cayenne is one of the most popular flavors, but there are also many others, including Tabasco sauces.

9) Superdome

One of the largest sports domes in the country, the Superdome has become an epicenter for great sports and other events in New Orleans.

10) Mardi Gras

This yearly celebration is one of the most special times in New Orleans. It’s always a wonderful and enlivening experience.

11) Delicious Food

With so many different options, tasting food in New Orleans is really something special. You will definitely want to try at least Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, Po-Boys, Gumbo and so much more.
