Have you ever explored around New Orleans? There are some truly special towns that would be easy to overlook...but you don't want to do that. Gramercy is one of those towns, and it is home to some iconic Louisiana events and products that truly make it stand out among towns in the area.
Gramercy was incorporated in 1947, and is found right along the river between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
Probably one of the things it is most known for is the annual lighting of the bonfires for papa noel.
But like a lot of riverside towns in Louisiana, Gramercy has some spectacular views of the mighty Mississippi.
It's a great place to relax and enjoy the boats passing on by.
Gramercy park is found in the middle of the town and is home to a lot of amazing small town baseball and other fun times.
It's the gathering spot for the town where there is always a smile to be found. Gramercy is also home to the Zapp's chip factory, so you can bet there are a lot of great snacks.
And of course, everyone in the town comes out for the event of the season...
The lighting up of the bonfires on Christmas Eve is really beautiful and a great way to celebrate the season.
And of course, right around the town is some gorgeous swamps to enjoy.
So truly, there is so much to soak up and see in this tiny little town.
