For this trip, we will start in Wichita, but you're welcome to start in Olathe if that's closer! Check out our map route to help you plan your road trip in Kansas.
Start out at Santa Fe Spillway in Andover
We start off with a beautiful view and a great example of what Kansas waterfalls look like. The hike to the Santa Fe Lake Waterfall is 1.7 miles out and back. This is the perfect way to start your weekend.
Take off and grab a bite at Do-B's in Emporia
It's true we don't have any cool waterfall-themed restaurants in Kansas, but Do-B's is delicious and it'll give you the fuel you need to keep going! Visit the Do'B's website to learn more about this restaurant's menu, hours, etc.
More waterworks at Pillsbury Crossing in Manhattan
When you get to Manhattan, it's a short drive over the river and onto Pillsbury Crossing Lane, where you'll meet this pretty little waterfall.
Deep Creek is another falls here at Pillsbury Crossing
There's another charming waterfall near Pillsbury Crossing and it's full of wonder. These falls are a few dozen feet downriver from the crossing location that you'll see driving in.
Pick a place to stay like Anderson Bed and Breakfast in Manhattan
If you're wanting to stay the night somewhere wonderful, make a reservation at this bed and breakfast because it's simply cozy.
Calm down near Cedar Creek in Olathe
Cedar Creek Falls in Olathe is a year-round Kansas waterfall that is beautiful. However, make sure you plan a visit during the spring or after heavy rain. Then, you are certainly going to see an extraordinary sight!
Well, does that look like an incredible weekend? It may only be around five hours of driving time, but personally, I'd love to spend hours at each location just taking it all in. Wouldn't you?
