Are you still dragging from the time change? Me too... but the bright side to losing an hour is that summer is just around the corner. To help you survive these next few months, why not get your summer bucket list written, beginning with:

1. Waking up early to catch the glorious Kansas sunrise.

2. Pitching a tent at Wilson State Park.

Considered to be the most beautiful park in Kansas, Wilson State offers gorgeous views, hiking trails, and, of course, several places to camp.

3. Beating the heat with a cone from the Dairy Bar.

A favorite among K-State students (for good reason), KSU Dairy Bar offers farm fresh eggs, milk, and (of course) fresh churned ice cream.

4. Cruising the Flint Hills Scenic Byway.

This 48-mile drive isn't just one of the most beautiful in Kansas; it's one of the most beautiful in the country.

5. Hiking the Konza Prairie...

Trust us; there isn't a more beautiful hike in the entire state than through this stunning native tallgrass prairie.

6. ...and then taking in the Flint Hills Symphony.

If you haven't experienced the Flint Hills while singing "Home on the Range" with a large orchestra, then you haven't fully experienced them.

7. Conquering Coronado Heights.

The historic castle, located just north of Lindsborg, is housed on one of a chain of seven sandstone bluffs in the Dakota Formation.

8. Playing tourist by visiting at least three roadside attractions.

The Garden of Eden (pictured). Kansas Barbed Wire Museum. The World’s Largest Collection of the World’s Smallest Versions of the World’s Largest Things. The possibilities are truly endless!

9. Partaking in the Great US Highway 36 Treasure Hunt.

This year's state-wide yard sale takes place September 16th-18th.

10. Treating the family to a movie under the stars.

Did you know that there are only a few hundred drive-in theaters left in the United States? Fortunately, Kansas is home to four of them, including Wichita's Starlite Drive-In (pictured).

11. Cooling off in Lake Scott.

Listed by National Geographic as one of the country's 50 must-see state parks, Lake Scott is home to historic buildings, deep wooded canyons, and a beautiful lake begging for your attention.

12. Getting your BBQ on!

You know we couldn't have a list about summer in Kansas without mentioning our state's fabulous slow-cooked meats! Find your favorite by sampling at least 5 different Kansas offerings. (Pictured is Roy's Hickory Pit Bar-B-Q in Hutchinson.)

13. Cheering on the Royals to another world victory.

Sure, the KANSAS City Royals may play on the Missouri side, but they are KANSAS's team.

14. Strolling the blooms at Botanica, The Wichita Gardens.

No matter the time of year, Botanica's colorful flowers are sure to awaken the senses.

15. Finally, watching the sun set the way it only does in Kansas.
