There's a small town in Kansas that's a haven for thrifters everywhere. Smaller than the towns near Kansas City, and hiding out in southeast Kansas, this small town is one of the best places for thrifting in the whole state. Have you ever been through this town before to go thrifting?
Iola, Kansas is where we're headed today, and with any luck, you'll also have a blast finding new things among these thrift stores. After all, one person's trash is another one's thrift!
1. Clock Tower Mercantile — 7 South Jefferson
Clock Tower is a great place to find both thrifts and repurposed goods galore. In addition, they also have handmade products like soaps and sewn items for you to see as well. It's not only a thrift shop but one that supports small businesses as well.
2. DejaNu Consignment — 15 E. Madison St.
DejaNu is more about clothing than anything else. For those of us who like to find the perfect things to add to our wardrobes and don't always love modern styles (or prices) this is the place to shop.
3. Iola Seniors Flea — 223 N State St.
At this shop, you'll find plenty of clothes and cool dishes at cheap prices that benefit locals. Of course, with any thrift store, who knows what you'll find while you're searching?
4. 3 Generations Consignment — 113 W Madison Ave.
At 3 Generations, you'll find everything from jeans to dresses, and candles to children's toys. If you're looking for a good thrift in town, perhaps your new favorite item is hiding here instead.
5. Tuckers Flea — 1801 N State St.
At Tuckers Flea, you'll find a little bit of everything as you peruse the shop. Their customer service is just like any other small Kansas town, with warm smiles and hospitality. Who wouldn't want to shop in such a friendly town?
6. Second Chance — 209 South St.
Here at Second Chance, you'll find another selection of thrifts from furniture to books and clothing. It's a thrift and consignment store, with plenty to offer from the friendly owners and local residents.
7. This and That Flea — 12 N. Washington
Next up is This & That, a flea market where you'll also find plenty of unique items, just like these other stores. It's almost like the whole town is one thrift shop!
8. The Market Place — 5 E Madison Ave.
Just like these other shops, your new favorite find might be hiding out at The Market Place as well. Iola is many things, but today its heaven for thrifters of all kinds.
If you love thrifting a whole lot, you'll find that this bargain hunters' road trip is built to bring fun and good finds to every thrifter in Kansas.
