It's no secret that Christmas comes around once a year, but sometimes, we need just a little more to make our holidays truly merry. If that's the case, you should consider checking out these three little Indiana towns, all of which celebrate Christmas for the magic it brings every single year.
1. Nashville
Nashville, Indiana, is a very special place. It may be a tiny town, but it has some big ideas when it comes to celebrating the holidays!
From shops in which it's Christmas all year to awesomely fun events every December, there's no way you won't find something to love here.
Check out The Holly Shop, where it's always jolly all the time!
The Holly Shop isn't the only Christmas-themed shop here; there are too many to mention!
Other activities include an annual Christmas parade, visits with Santa himself, and more holly-holly activities every weekend in December. Christmas in Nashville sure is a treat!
2. Santa Claus
That's right. A whole town called Santa Claus! This town absolutely loves this time of year, and they go above and beyond to bring the magic to everyone who visits.
A very long time ago, children began sending letters to Santa to Santa Claus, Indiana, and the postmaster at the time decided to start replying to them. Today, volunteers in town do the honor.
There are too many Christmas-themed fun activities every year here to mention! Parades, incredible light displays, and visits with the big ol' jolly man himself are just a part of the endless fun.
3. Shipshewana
No Indiana Christmas list is complete without mentioning the town of Shipshewana.
Located in the midst of Amish country, the residents of this little town take Christmas seriously.
Most famously, they have a drive-through light show called Lights of Joy. The drive is just over a mile long and features over 2 million lights. Amazing! Like the other two, Shipshewana also transforms into a Christmas paradise year after year.
If you'd like to check out the hours and get information about Shipshewana's Lights of Joy display, check out their website here. You'll also find information on the two other towns mentioned in this article here and here.
