Indiana has a pretty avid paranormal scene, with rumored haunted bridges, tunnels, cemeteries, and more. However, there is one place in particular, a haunted asylum, gaining a lot of attention for its blood chilling and harrowing experience. If you dare, you'll want to check out the insanely creepy Randolph County Infirmary Asylum...
Located in the small town of Winchester, Indiana is the famous Randolph County Infirmary Asylum. This historic site is the third largest in Indiana. The building was recently purchased by paranormal investigator Adam Kimmell.
This terrifying asylum was first built in 1851 as a county home, but was ravaged in a fire just two years later. After this damage, another infirmary was built in its place, but was ultimately deemed unsafe and demolished. The third site, the one still standing today, was built in 1899. It remained in use in some fashion until 2008.
Kimmell purchased the property hoping to find rich paranormal activity and so far, he's been spot on. Visitors claim they hear footsteps, see objects being hurled around (particularly in the attic), and see shadowy figures lurking.
Hoosiers brave and daring enough can now experience the terror of this asylum for themselves in one of the creepiest offerings in the state: an overnight sleepover.
You heard correctly. For $129, you get to spend the night in this haunted asylum. Dinner and breakfast are also included in this price.
