Have you ever found yourself thinking, for whatever reason, "Boy, I sure wish I could be in both Indiana AND Ohio today!"? Same. Well, guess what friends: you're in tremendous luck because there just so happens to be a magical little place where you can do exactly this. It's a quiet, sleepy little town known as College Corner, and in College Corner Indiana... and Ohio... life is just a little bit simpler, and we wouldn't have it any other way. When it comes to small towns in Indiana, this one's especially unique... because we share it with our neighbor.
As of the 2020 census, the population of College Corner was 540, making it one of the smallest towns in Indiana.
You'd be surprised, though: there are still plenty of interesting things to do and see around here, even if they're not... you know... amusement parks and things.
Located in far, far eastern Indiana quite literally split by the state line is this adorable little place.
You'll find it to be pretty quirky right off the bat, with some places you'll never find anywhere else. It's as strange as it is fun in many parts. For example:
This is the College Corner Post Office.
It says Ohio, even though it's on the Indiana side. We're not sure why. But, at this point, does it really even matter? We're not sure, but good luck finding that little quirk anywhere but here.
Pictured below is the elementary school that serves the town.
It looks perfectly average from the outside, but fun fact: the left half of this little school is in Indiana. The right half is in Ohio. We can only imagine this leads to various amusing shenanigans, but who's to say for sure?
A popular attraction near College Corner is the beautiful Hueston Woods Beach. It's on the Ohio side, but whatever - we're sharing now.
The water in the lake is crystal-clear and shimmers year-round, beckoning visitors and locals alike to come a little closer and maybe dip their toes in. Refreshing!
If you're a fan of historic places, you'll want to check out the only covered bridge in the area.
It's called the Hueston Woods Bridge (hmm, we sense a pattern here), and it's definitely worth a gander, especially if you're a fan of photogenic features of the countryside.
It's official: College Corner Indiana is easily one of the most unique - and oddly charming - small towns in Indiana, hands down! Of course, while you're here, you'll want to visit beautiful Ohio, too, which isn't difficult. Just cross Stateline Street, and you're there. Easy-peasy.
