Indiana may not be the first state you think of when you think of beach towns, since we aren't on the coast. However, our beaches along Lake Michigan are stunning enough to rival some of the best beach towns, including this little town that may be one of the coolest in the country.
One of the coolest places in Indiana is undoubtedly the beachtown of WInona Lake. This quaint small town is full of waterside attractions, local shops, and incredible attractions.
Of course, Winona Lake is most famous for its gorgeous lakefront attractions like swimming, boating, and fishing.
The canal at Winona Lake offers a scenic place to walk (or boat) along, as well as many small shops and eateries to check out along the way.
You can also enjoy a leisurely afternoon of biking, while checking out unique sculptures and works of local art.
In case you forget where you are, the quirky town of Winona Lake will be sure to remind you!
You can also visit Beachy, the resident Bison statue, who's always ready to have a good time.

The beauty at the former Chicago Boys Club Camp is nearly unrivaled. Though this camp is no longer operational, the scenery is breathtaking.
Be sure to kick your feet up and unwind with a cup of coffee and decadent pastry from Light Rail.
Be sure to check out the incredible Boathouse Restaurant right on the lake for exceptional views and even better cuisine!
If you visit in the summer, you'll always find a unique arts fair, festival, or other event to check out.
Winona Lake has everything you'd want in a town - gorgeous scenery, great local shopping, incredible eateries, and a whole lot of character.
