There are six marvelous, locally owned thrift shops in central Illinois that make for the perfect shopping journey. Driving time wise, the trip is just about two hours long, and if you stop at each spot for just an hour or two, you can hit them all up in one day.

1. Thrift Avenue
From handcrafted goods to new items to antiques and much more, this adorable barn-shaped shop is a marvelous place to get lost. You'll find Route 66 items, jewelry, candles, sodas, and other vintage goods. It is open between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and it is located at 1103 W Main St., Lexingtn, IL 61753.
2. Neighborhood Thrift Store
This family-owned business buys and sells gently used and new items as well as vintage furniture and other antiques. It has been in business since 2009 and is located at 406 N Main St., Bloomington, IL 61701, which is in downtown. This is the perfect place to shop if you're looking to furnish a new house or add some pieces. It is open daily, and hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday as well as 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
3. Love It Once More Thrift Store
This tiny town thrift store is the perfect place to find budget items. Prom dresses, holiday decorations, clothing, glassware, games, baby items, and much more can be found here. 4. Encore Thrift Store
Our thrift stores road trip lingers in the town of Clinton. This one is a non-profit organization that helps individuals struggling with developmental disorders. It is open Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and sells items like toys, vintage nick-knacks, collectibles, books, decorations, and more. It is located at 10840 IL-10, Clinton, IL 61727.
5. Hope's Attic Thrift Store
Another non-profit, this donation-based store is open Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as well as Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. It sells clothing, toys, frames, movies, furniture, decorations, and other vintage items. It is located at 2940 N Martin Luther King Jr Dr., Decatur, IL 62526.
6. ReNew Consignment & Thrift Shop
The last stop on our thrift stores road trip takes you to a slightly more upscale shop that is still fabulous for thrifting. Both modern and vintage items are available, including furniture, clothing, antiques, and more.
