The fall season has a tendency to slip by quickly, and before we know it, the holiday season is knocking on our door. That's why it's so important to make the most of this beautiful time of year! A visit to the popular Burley Straw Maze & Pumpkin Patch is an awesome outdoor attraction where families with kids can make lifetime memories. The Burley Straw Maze & Pumpkin Patch is a popular fall destination in southern Idaho. Boasting just about every fall attraction you could ask for, including a massive straw maze and other hay-themed activities, it's an awesome spot where families can make the most of the harvest season.
This year, Burley Straw Maze opened on September 18 and will remain open through October 31st. They are open to visitors Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The attraction is completely outdoors and there is a LOT to explore. Of course, the straw maze is the main source of entertainment. Boasting 8-foot walls of twists and turns, it takes visitors anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes to navigate.
There's also the pumpkin patch! Guests can enjoy a hayride takes them directly to the pumpkin-picking spot. There are over 20 varieties to choose from, so be sure to choose wisely to get the one perfect for you.
The giant slide is another huge hit with the kids. The slide, zip line, play area, jump pad, and barrel train are all included with general admission. Other attractions like the Corn Cannon and Swing Ride require purchasing an additional ticket.
If you prefer the spooky side of October, you'll definitely want to check out the haunted straw maze. Every Saturday evening, the straw maze gets "spookified." Be careful where you turn...you don't know what will be waiting for you around the corner!
