Vidalia is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Atlanta, or 1.5 hours from Savannah. Visiting downtown Vidalia is a little like stepping back in time.
You can’t help but notice the Vidalia water tower, complete with onion illustrations, as you make your way into town.
Vidalia was incorporated in 1890. It was originally called Jenkins Station due to the railroad depot.
