Georgia has a ton of different small towns and cities just littered throughout the state. Probably even a few that you haven't heard of before. We have compiled our own list of 10 of the coolest small towns in Georgia that you may or may not have known about. Check it out:
1. Seville, Georgia
There is a very good chance that you've never heard of Seville, Georgia before. Why? Because it actually has the smallest population in the entire state (202 people) according to City-Data.com.
2. Helen, Georgia
There's so much to say about the beautiful town of Helen, Georgia. But what always tops our list is the annual Atlantic Hot Air Balloon Race.
3. Taylorsville, Georgia
Taylorsville was once a booming small town in Northwest, Georgia. However, after a devastating tornado outbreak in 2008, the town never quite recovered. Maybe it's time we make Taylorsville great again!
4. Madison, Georgia
This adorably charming town in Georgia is the perfect place to visit for the weekend, and take in all the wonderful Antebellum architecture.
5. Mitchell, Georgia
Here's a fun fact about Mitchell, Georgia: In 2000 there were only 170 inhabitants. But today, many people visit the town for the Mitchell Depot Historical Museum.
6. Washington, Georgia
This small town is known for their hospitality, delicious food, and incredible history. It's here that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the pace of small-town living.
7. Argyle, Georgia
If ever there was a time to move to this tiny town, it's now. According to City-Data.com, the median prices per house in Argyle comes in at $50,000. Why? Probably because there is only 1.7 square miles of land to the entire town. Affordable and secluded!
8. Surrency, Georgia
Surrency is another fascinating and small town in Georgia. If ever you feel like hearing a good tale of paranormal activity, then check out the story of the Surrency Spook Light. OOooooOOO.
9. Newnan, Georgia
This is a quaint town with a charming Southern feel. Not to mention, it's the birthplace of our favorite country crooner, Alan Jackson.
10. Ashburn, Georgia
Because where else can you find the world's largest fake peanut? Only in Ashburn.
