As much as we love the countryside of Georgia, this state has its fair share of big city livin'! With dozens of schools (many of which are ranked nationally and internationally,) an international community and a vibrant economy, Georgia can be the place where people make their dreams come true. Move over New York and L.A., here are 6 cities in Georgia where the opportunities are limitless.
1) Atlanta
With 4.9 million urban residents and over 5 million residents in the metropolitan area, Atlanta is the 9th biggest city in the nation! It is also the state's most diverse city, as it's home to many different ethnicities.

2) Columbus
Columbus was actually named one of the best communities by Capital One in 2008. It is home to Fort Benning, which is a major employer in the city. Columbus is a great place to live and raise a family!

3) Augusta
Augusta is the childhood home of famous singer James Brown and President Woodrow Wilson. Augusta is the second oldest city in the state, and is a vibrant community to live in.

4) Macon, GA
Macon is also a major hub in Georgia. It's definitely southern in nature. In combination with a high graduation rate and a low cost of living--the opportunities are limitless!

5) Savannah
Savannah, oh Savannah! This beautiful and vibrant city is one of the most historical cities in the nation. It was originally the capital of Georgia and was once named one of the 10 most beautiful cities in the country! There are many educational opportunities with Savannah State, Georgia Southern and Valdosta University nearby.

6) Athens
Athens is great city to live in. It's home to the first charted university in the nation, the University of Georgia. With a nationally ranked law school and business school, Athens produces many successful career holders in the state of Georgia.

On top of all the amazing opportunities that await you in these big Georgia cities, the cost of living is some of the best in the country in comparison to what you can get paid!
