I've said it before and I'll say it again, being born and raised in Miami comes with many advantages...as well as disadvantages. This especially rings true during the holidays. Advantage - I've actually been on the beach on Christmas before and it was cool and breezy. Disadvantage, I've never woken up to fresh snow on the morning of Christmas. While there are many things I can wax poetic about in terms of Christmas in Florida, I truly feel there is no place like my hometown of Miami for the holidays.

For a tropical city, people really put in the effort to bring the holiday magic in terms of decor and lights. It's hard to walk down any main road like Lincoln or Ocean and not have a dazzling spectacle to enjoy.
