1. The Old Jail
The Old Jail in St. Augustine is where we’re kicking off this spooky day trip, and it’s the perfect place to do so. Opened in 1891, the Old Jail housed the worst of the worst and became a place that even those without remorse didn’t want to be. What’s been dubbed one of the most haunted places in the country is apparently home to those vengeful spirits who are angry over their unfair treatment. 2. The Huguenot Cemetery
The Huguenot Cemetery in St. Augustine, Florida was the only public burying ground back in the early 1800s when bodies began to literally pile in the streets. From yellow fever to deadly bar brawls, this burying ground eventually became the final resting place for many residents and visitors. However, with such death comes paranormal activity. In fact, the Huguenot Cemetery is so haunted it holds the place for having the most documented paranormal activity in the city!

3. Castillo de San Marcos National Monument
Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is the oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S. It also is one of the most haunted places in St. Augustine. Walls were "baked with blood" during coastal skirmishes, with many spirits still lingering around the fort centuries later. 4. Spanish Military Hospital Museum
People have been reporting supernatural activity from this building for years. Whether it’s an evil force they feel upon entering, moans from ghosts, doors slamming on their own, or even cold spots randomly, this place has it all. What was once a military hospital used to house soldiers and countrymen, quickly became a place where doctors performed unauthorized surgeries and experimental procedures. Many lost their lives in this building, although some are still rumored to be walking the halls.

6. St. Augustine Lighthouse
While it boasts one of the most beautiful views in the entire state, the St. Augustine Lighthouse also holds a special place for paranormal enthusiasts. Legend has it the ghosts of three young girls who drowned mysteriously nearby still frequent the grounds. And some have said on the full moon, you can see the faces of corpses in the museum’s window.
