There’s one enchanting town near Detroit that’s sure to delight the entire family with its amazing Christmastime atmosphere, and you’ll surely want to visit.
Frankenmuth is located in Saginaw County, just 90 minutes from Detroit by car.
Most Detroiters have heard of this fantastic little town, but there’s something utterly magical about exploring Frankenmuth when the holiday season rolls around.
Known for its Bavarian architecture and cultural touches, Frankenmuth truly offers something for everyone. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be delighted.
Stroll down Main Street and marvel at lights, tinsel, and other decor upon the town’s German-inspired buildings. You’ll truly feel as if you’ve entered a fairy tale.
Stop in for a bite to eat at the Old Christmas Station Restaurant, which serves delicious eats in a holiday-themed atmosphere year-round. What’s not to love?
Of course, no wintertime visit to Frankenmuth is complete without a stop at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, also known as the world’s largest Christmas store.
This massive shop consists of over seven acres of store space, seemingly endless ornaments and decor, and a breathtaking outdoor display that will surely catch your eye.
Enjoy a chicken dinner at Zehnder’s and take one final walk through Frankenmuth. When snow falls and loved ones are in tow, this town feels like a holiday paradise.
