Contrary to outsiders' belief, there are SO many things to do in Delaware! We've narrowed it down to 18 must-see, must-hike and must-eat locations to create the Ultimate Delaware Bucket List to conquer while you're living in (or even just visiting) the First State. 1. Hike to Maryland or Pennsylvania at White Clay Creek

2. Climb an Observation Tower at Cape Henlopen State Park

One of the coolest things you can do in Delaware is climb a World War II observation tower at Cape Henlopen State Park and look out over the Delaware Bay.

3. Tour Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton

The Dogfish Head Brewery tour is one of the best in the country, and you'll love the Steampunk Treehouse as well as the brews you can bring home with you.6 Village Center Blvd, Milton, DE 19968

4. Stuff your face with Dolles Salt Water Taffy

Dolles Candyland is the most famous candy company in the state, and many of us have memories of eating more sugar here than we could handle.Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, Rehoboth Beach

5. Kayak through Trap Pond

6. Treat yourself to a meal at Le Cavalier at The Green Room

Located in the Hotel DuPont, this gorgeous restaurant is one of the finest in the state. Dress to the nines and bring your favorite date; this will be a night (and a meal) to remember.11th & Market Streets

7. Take a ride on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry

The Cape May-Lewes Ferry is a must-see for anyone in Delaware. Take it from Lewes and explore the New Jersey town on the other side of the Delaware Bay.

8. The lesser known Woodland Ferry should be on your Delaware Bucket List, too

9. Go Birding at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge

10. Enjoy a greasy burger from The Charcoal Pit

11. Tour Fort Delaware

The Civil War Fort Delaware prison is one of the most important historic sites in the First State, and they put on an amazing tour.Take the ferry from Delaware City to Pea Patch Island to get there.

12. See a NASCAR race at Dover Motor Speedway

Even if you don't enjoy NASCAR, a visit to Dover Motor Speedway for a race needs to be on your Delaware Bucket List.1131 N Dupont Hwy, Dover, DE 19901

13. Celebrate Return Day in Georgetown

After any major election, head down to Georgetown on the Thursday immediately following Election Day to celebrate the ceremonial burying of a hatchet and a big parade downtown. The celebration dates back to 1791 when voters gathered in the county seat to learn election results.

14. Party in Dewey Beach

Dewey Beach is the Delaware beach with the best parties, so skip the family fun at Rehoboth and Bethany for once and relive your younger days.

15. Celebrate some occasion at Sambo's

16. Tour the old mills at the Hagley Museum

This DuPont estate and the Hagley Museum are often overlooked, but absolutely worth a tour to learn how the DuPont family got started in Delaware. 200 Hagley Creek Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807

17. Go Ape at Lum's Pond

If you're brave enough, Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park is one place that has to be on your Delaware bucket list. Climb high through the trees and zipline across the pond.1068 Howell School Rd, Bear, DE 19701

18. Have an incredible burger at Restaurant 55 in Dover

Restaurant 55 has the most creative burgers in Delaware - you won't know what's on the menu until you get there.
