1. Fenwick Island

2. Georgetown

Historic Georgetown might be the best place to settle down if you're a foodie, because the town's restaurants are incredible! There are places to get breakfast sandwiches, burgers, subs, pizza and the best Mexican food in the state. The location of the town is perfect, too - close to the beach, but not so close that you get stuck in traffic from May through October.

3. Bowers Beach

Bowers Beach is a sleepy little fishing town that's great for anyone seeking a quiet life. Families will enjoy the events hosted by the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum, foodies will enjoy dining dockside at JP's Wharf, and just about everyone will love the bayside beach.

4. New Castle

Milford has one of the most charming downtown districts in all of Delaware, and nature lovers will enjoy being able to stroll the riverfront and parks nearby. There are historic restaurants and boutique shops that show off the best of Delaware lifestyle and culture scattered throughout town.

7. Delaware City

Despite being the most haunted town in Delaware, Delaware City has earned a reputation as one of the coolest little towns in the state. With plenty of places to dine on the water and pick crabs, plus a couple of unique shops and close proximity to the larger cities of the region, what more could you want?

8. Seaford

Seaford is a great town to settle down if you really love the outdoors. Paddle and swim in the Nanticoke River. Life in Seaford is so peaceful and pleasant that it was once named the 28th Best Small Town in America! If you're looking for that quiet Sussex County life with plenty of outdoorsy things to explore, this might be your new destination.

9. Selbyville

Selbyville is a cool little town down by the beach, and it's known for great seafood restaurants that serve their catch straight from the bay. Forget going to Maryland for crabcakes and blue crabs - you can find them right here! Any foodie or beach lover would enjoy living it up in Selbyville.

10. Camden-Wyoming

Camden-Wyoming is a place where you'll find the best of both worlds - rural farms and close-knit neighborhoods, along with close proximity to the Dover metro area. Many Delawareans come to the area to take advantage of the farmstands and visit Fifer Orchards, and there are many of us that never want to leave.

11. Milton

Milton is a hip town that's one of the more popular destinations in Delaware, thanks to Dogfish Head Brewery! This town manages to balance a beachy vibe with a slice of suburbia, and its central location makes it easy to get to the beach, or upstate.
