We've covered Woodbury at Only In Connecticut before. For a relatively small town of just under 10,000, you might not expect that there would be too many things to do in Woodbury, CT. However, this Litchfield County town is just bursting with wonderful historical attractions and is home to some pretty incredible restaurants, no matter where your tastes lie. One of our favorite spots is the 1754 House in Woodbury, CT. This historic inn has a delicious restaurant, and even a fun blues tavern known as The Flat Five. Today, we'll be featuring the 1754 House's tasty eats at the main restaurant. Check this place out:
The historic inn was constructed prior to 1736 and most likely opened for guests around 1754.
The inn's 11 rooms make for a great place to stay on a Litchfield Hills vacation, but even if you're not planning on staying overnight, you don't want to miss the restaurant here.
This upscale eatery features New England favorites like clam chowder, plus seasonal specialties that are equally delicious.
If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion, it doesn't get much better than this.
However, I'm also a firm believer in treating yourself for no reason at all.
Eating out is something that should be savored, and the high quality meals here are definitely worthy of savoring.
This is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the Litchfield Hills area.

Woodbury is a great town for a getaway, and it's home to the lovely Whittemore Sanctuary. If you'd like to explore some of the outdoor attractions in the area, check out our friends at Alltrails. One of my favorite things about life in a small town is enjoying all the peace and quiet you can find out in nature!
