If you check out a Nutmeg State calendar of events, particularly in the summer, it can seem like there's a festival in Connecticut occurring practically every weekend. But the festival we're featuring today is different than most. A Weekend In Norfolk is a twice-a-year festival that takes over the entire small town of Norfolk, CT. This is such a great opportunity for small town fun and it's wonderful to see the entire town get involved. There's nothing like the feeling of community that's present in our small New England towns, and this is an excellent opportunity to get out and enjoy that feeling of solidarity with the entire family. This year's summer A Weekend In Norfolk festival is scheduled for August 4-6, 2023. Check it out:
There's so much to do at this great festival, and we love that there's something for everyone here. It quite literally takes over the entire town, and you'll find something going on in just about every corner of this small town.
There's plenty of outdoor fun to be had by all, with walking tours of the town, fly fishing opportunities, and more.
The "Hike the Peaks" challenge is a great opportunity to climb the highest points in Norfolk over the weekend.
Prefer something a little less active? Several local churches are offering guided tours showing off their beautiful stained glass windows.
You can learn about the history of these stunning works of art, like the windows at the Immaculate Conception Church (pictured).
There will also be live music and art displays at several local venues.
Best of all, many of the events are free, and you can even attend some events virtually. This is such a great small-town summer festival in Connecticut!
