When it comes to Christmas, Coloradans know how to pull out all the stops, with the smaller towns, especially, transforming into real-life winter wonderlands! One of these charming Christmas towns in Colorado is picturesque Frisco, AKA the "Main Street of the Rockies," which you are going to want to visit ASAP:
Located an hour and a half west of Denver along I-70, Frisco is a popular ski and resort town that becomes even more picturesque during the holiday season.
As soon as you enter Frisco, you will know that you are in for something special, as the entire downtown area is adorned with festive lights and decorations.
While the ambiance is reason enough to visit, it's the events and attractions that make Frisco even more special, beginning with the annual Wassail Days.
As the name implies, Wassail Days is a festival dedicated to sampling wassail (a hot spiced cider) plus a tree lighting and breakfast with Santa.
In addition to this can't-miss event, Frisco also boasts several other season events, a la an Old Fashioned Christmas Bazaar, Crafternoons, and much more.
Even after Christmas ends, Frisco keeps the good times rolling with the Spontaneous Combustion Bonfire and Fireworks, where residents can bid the season farewell by throwing their "gently-used" Christmas trees into the embers.
