This old-timey roadside restaurant is only known to locals and anyone lucky enough to drive past.
Located right on CA-16 in the unincorporated community of Capay in Yolo County, you can’t miss this restaurant!
Stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The menu has a lot of good options. For breakfast, some menu highlights include omelets served with hash browns or country potatoes, “saddle bags” (their version of biscuits and homemade gravy), or steak and eggs with your choice of New York or ribeye. Breakfast is served until 11 a.m.
And just like you might expect from a roadside restaurant, they serve a good cup of black coffee.
But if you’re craving a latte, espresso, or iced coffee drink after a long day’s drive, they’ve got you covered. Road Trip Bar & Grill has an espresso bar, featuring all of your favorite coffee drinks to help wake you up, keep you alert, and satisfy your caffeine craving. Try the 24-ounce frozen blended frappuccino– it’s great on a hot day.
There is something for everyone on the lunch and dinner menu! It’s like they made a menu by listing every delicious appetizer, salad, sandwich, burger, and entree you could possibly want at a bar and grill.
From appetizers like fried zucchini and onion rings to the always delicious BLT to the half-pound certified Angus Beef burger, there’s no way you won’t leave here satisfied. There is an $8 split charge, except on appetizers so bring your appetite!
Visit on Thursdays for their $1 burger special. Every Thursday, starting at 11 a.m., they serve $1 burgers and $1 fries. Stay a while and enjoy some sides. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to be there for a live music performance!
