Let's face it, Northern California is gorgeous. Sometimes there are so many options, however, that you can spend more time deciding where your next adventure will be rather than actually going for it and doing it.
Here's a list of 10 things to do in Northern California that you just have to add to your bucket list.
1. Walk across the Sundial Bridge in Redding
This architectural marvel is a functioning sundial, but it's also a beautiful pedestrian bridge that complements the natural surroundings.
2. Visit the Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Why go all the way to Wyoming when we've got our very own Yellowstone here in Northern California?
3. Take in the Victorian charm of old neighborhoods, like this one in Eureka.
This house is world famous and known as the Pink Lady. It has a very intriguing history. It was owned briefly by a pair of German sisters in the 1940s before being seized by the U.S. Government as Nazi property.
4. Splash around in the crystal clear waters of Sierra Nevada Alpine Lakes.
Lake Tahoe, pictured here, is the largest alpine lake in the world. It holds enough water to cover the entire state of California with 14 inches of water.
5. Visit - or live in - the small towns of the Sierra Foothills.
Many people retire to this area, and after one visit to these friendly, charming communities it will be easy for you to see why. This photo is of Downieville.
6. See the Redwood Coast.
There's truly nothing like seeing waves of the Pacific crash against the cliffs with the ancient, giant redwoods standing above.
7. Visit Gold Country.
There's a lot of history in these rolling hills, located in Amador County. 49ers flocked here in the 1800s to strike it rich and it's important for any Northern Californian to known the history here.
8. Enjoy the coastal beauty of Mendocino County.
This area is often foggy since it's so close to the ocean, but the extra moisture in the air ensures year-round beauty for all to enjoy.

9. Take in the splendor of Mount Shasta.
This giant sentinel of a mountain seemingly rises out nothing. The surrounding areas are primarily flat farm land.
10. Listen to the rush of the Trinity River.
The steady current is a beautiful sound, and you'll feel at peace whether you choose to raft down its current or simply sit by the river and soak it in.
